HOOKED ON SXSW
When the University of Texas rented out the iconic Antone’s venue for SXSW, they wanted an environment that celebrated Longhorn pride with bold, high-energy impact. UT fans, alumni, keynote speakers, and musical artists gathered to connect, celebrate, and go full “Hook ’Em.” We partnered with the UT team to design and execute a full takeover worthy of the moment.
We handled end-to-end support on this activation—from branding and spatial design to production coordination and installation.

Our design aesthetic set the direction for the web and digital graphics created by the UT marketing team. Spatial Design
We transformed Antone’s into a fully immersive UT environment, balancing crowd flow with high-impact brand touchpoints and bold, photogenic moments.

TRADITION AMPLIFIED
Guests stepped into a fully branded experience—from a life-sized UT convertible and glowing LED backdrops to oversized games and vendor spaces designed for engagement. Every element was built to spark interaction, showcase the UT spirit, and leave a lasting impression.

SET UP STAMPEDE
We transformed the entire space in just two days—sun up to well past sundown—coordinating vendors, builds, and tech to meet SXSW’s fast-moving demands. Then, in one night, we broke it all down so Antone’s could open for business the next morning. Precision, hustle, and no wasted motion.
FINAL TOUCH
This activation brought UT Austin’s spirit to life through bold design, interactive moments, and immersive brand storytelling. Every detail—from the lighting to the layered materials—was crafted by Mowax Visual to leave a lasting impression. It was a space built to be remembered, and a true reflection of the university’s pride, creativity, and presence at SXSW.
